The 96th Academy Awards Winner - Complete List

© Disney

The 96th Academy Awards are now history, and the show made some history by starting five minutes late and ending four minutes early, with the credits taking the show right up to its planned finish just in time for the special episode of Abbott Elementary. One other bit of history was made as Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell won the Oscar for Best Original Song, making Eilish the youngest two-time Oscar winner in history at age 22 (the pair won the Original Song Oscar in 2021 for 'No Time to Die' from the James Bond film of the same title). One more bit of history -- Godzilla Minus One's win for Best Visual Effects marks a first for the Godzilla franchise and a first for the Japanese film industry.

There weren't too many surprises this year as Oppenheimer and Poor Things battled it out, leaving Barbie in the dust save for the song win. Speaking of Barbie, the highlight of the evening had to be Ryan Gosling'a performance of 'I'm Just Ken', the other Oscar-nominated song from the movie, complete with co-stars Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa and Scott Evans joining in on the fun.

The night ran smoothly with Jimmy Kimmel at the helm, no one was slapped, John Cena bared all (almost) presenting the award for Best Costumes, and politics was kept to a minimum. One thing this year proved was that box office blockbusters can win Best Picture, and Christopher Nolan's losing streak is finally over (and it could not have been an accident having Steven Spielberg present the Best Director award having broken his own losing streak 30 years ago with Schindler's List). Take a look at the list of winners below and tell us if your favorites won or were snubbed.
