The 45th Razzie Awards winners are announced

In the world of 2025, bad is good. Dumb is smart. Ghastly is great. And winning a Razzie® is a good thing. Just ask any of the well-known talents represented in this year’s 45th Annual Razzies list.

Even a cinematic maestro occasionally musters up a misfire. And one of Hollywood’s greatest filmmakers, Francis Ford Coppola, is not above claiming his Razzie as director for Megalopolis.

The $4.97 trophies for Worst Picture, Screenplay and Actress (Dakota Johnson) went to a comic-book-based movie that spent most of 2024 being touted by movie-goers everywhere as “a serious Razzie contender” -  Madame Web.

Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel and Worst Screen Combo were both “won” by Joker: Folie a Deux, a much-anticipated sequel whose predecessor was a monster hit worldwide (and an Oscar winner). But this follow-up disappointed (i.e. pissed off!) audiences all over the world and thus wound up in the Razzie winners’ circle.

This year’s Razzie Redeemer choice was previously named Worst New Star of 1996 for Barb Wire.  But in 2024 Pamela Anderson was critically acclaimed for her stellar performance in the title role of The Last Showgirl, earning her our Razzie halo.

Other winners include Jon Voight as Worst Supporting Actor for Megalopolis, Reagan, Shadow Land and Strangers, as well as Jerry Seinfeld (Worst Actor) and Amy Schumer (Supporting Actress) both for Unfrosted.

A complete list of “winners” is included below and is also available at Razzies.com. Watch the Official 45th Razzie “Winners” video.

Results were determined by emailing ballots to 1,217 Razzie Members (movie buffs, film critics and journalists) from 49 US States and about two dozen foreign countries who chose the “winners” in nine categories. The Redeemer award was decided by the Razzie Board of Governors.
