Marvel announces Avengers: Doomsday cast

Following a nearly six hour livestream, Marvel Entertainment has revealed the cast for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, relying heavily on the actors from Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four: First Steps. A few established actors are joining Robert Downey Jr. including Chris Hemsworth, whose name kicked off the streaming stunt, and Paul Rudd -- no mention of any Guardians of the Galaxy -- and nothing to substantiate the rumor that Hayley Atwell was returning as Peggy Carter (Chris Evans has already denied his participation), and no Tom Holland. Also missing are Marvel TV characters including Daredevil and Moon Knight (fans are desperate for Oscar Isaac's inclusion in the MCU). Most surprising, however, is the inclusion of many original X-Men actors including Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan ... and Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler! And is Channing Tatum now one step closer to getting his own Gambit movie?
