Actress Lar Park-Lincoln dead at 63
Actress Lar Park-Lincoln died Tuesday, April 22 at the age of 63. No cause of death has been disclosed at this time, though some sources are citing breast cancer. Park-Lincoln is best known for her roles on primetime soap Knots Landing and the film Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.
Born in Dallas, Park-Lincoln made her screen debut in the 1985 TV movie Children of the Night. In 1986 she had a guest role on the TV series Heart of the City, but her big year was 1987 when she guested on Hunter, Outlaws, Ohara and Highway to Heaven, and appeared in the films The Princess Academy and House II: The Second Story.
1987 was also the year she debuted as Linda Fairgate, sister-in-law to Michele Lee's Karen Fairgate MacKenzie, in two episodes of Knots Landing's ninth season. She returned for two more episodes in Season 10 as a different character, and became a recurring actor, again as Linda, for Seasons 11 and 12, ending her run with the first four episodes of Season 13 in 1991. She appeared in a total of 48 episodes of the long-running series.
In 1988 she was cast as Tina in Friday the 13th: The New Blood, and followed that up with more TV appearances on Freddy's Nightmares, Tour of Duty, Murder, She Wrote, Space: Above and Beyond, Beverly Hills 90210, City of Justice and Lifetime TV movie Inspector Mom: Kidnapped in Ten Easy Steps.
Film credits include From the Dark, Sky Sharks, Expulsion, 13 Fanboy, Autumn Road and Ghost Party. She reprised the role of Tina in Rose Blood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film in 2021.
Park-Lincoln also became an acting coach, and authored Get Started, Not Scammed. She was married to Michael Martin Lincoln from 1981 until his death in 1995. She is survived by her daughter Piper, son Trevor, a brother, sister and four grandchildren, as well as her poodle Charlie.
Actors Audition Studios, which she founded, issued a statement: "Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors."
